The BYD team would like to take the opportunity to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all its customers and contacts. Below is a recap of certain projects that have been ongoing in the last few months of 2018.

BTC-22 Developments

Lots of fun was had this summer with BTC-22 MK I, getting out sailing both north and south in the UK. Meanwhile back at the CML the BTC-22 MK II has been making great progress with the hull plug. Delivery of the first vessels will be for the 2019 sailing season. We are looking forward to 2019 for the BTC-Yachts range. This is a boat that was designed and will be built in Britain and is a testament to the quality of production and craftsmanship available. Stay tuned on our social media pages as they will be following the progress of the build and look out for the BTC-22 as it will be featured in several magazines in the new year.

BTC-28 Developments

The BTC-28 is nearing the stage where a prototype can be built in preparation for moulds to be made. Carrying the same hull form DNA and principle ethos of the BTC-22, which is to be affordable, exhilarating to sail with a feel of safety making it fun for all. This yacht has been designed to feel a lot bigger on the inside without compromise on exterior aesthetic. This is partly done through keeping the interior of open concept, with the option of adding more for privacy. It features a large bed aft with some storage. As well as a double berth forward. There is a good size galley onboard with settee/dining area in front. This boat also features a WC with shower for maximum comfort onboard for longer trips.

Cape Cutter Marine

BYD have been helping cape cutter marine with some verification of calculation and compliance to ISO rules and regulations for the range of boats that Cape Cutter offer. We are looking forward to the future working relationship.

Tug / Work Boat

Towards the end of this year BYD has been working on a design for a steel constructed Tug / Work boat which feature a unique wheelhouse arrangement allowing for the vessel to have 2 distinct modes, either Tug/Pusher Tug, or another option which allows for much great work deck space.

These vessels will be available in 30’&35’ with a view to creating larger vessel from these parent designs.

Jet Boats

BYD have also been busy with design and design support during construction for a new 47’ Jetboat with seating for over 60 passenger and 1900hp to pull from means this vessel promises for an exhilarating ride on some of the wild rivers of North America. Due to hit the water ready for the upcoming season.

Unlike our sister manufacturing company, BYD will only close 25th, 26th  December and 1st  January and will be otherwise on hand over the Christmas break to take any customer enquiries. From ALL at BYD we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Yours Sincerely
